Alcyone FestivalHrosvitha, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Susanna Centlivre, Georgia Douglas Johnson, Joanna Baillie—heard of them?

The Alcyone Festival 2008 offered a comprehensive look at nearly 1000 years of early female playwrights. Featuring fully staged productions in roatting repertory we showed how these “firsts” have shaped women’s place as a creative force in the arts today.
